Hello, my name is Janelle Bennett, I have been the 6th grade teacher here at WWA since 2008. I grew up here in Westminster and attended Mandalay Middle School and Standley Lake High School. I then went on to higher education at the University of Northern Colorado and finally received my Master’s Degree in Education at Regis University in 2012. I love to coach volleyball and have coached since I was 19 years old. I coach for WWA (boys and girls) and a club called Ballistic Volleyball Club. My husband and I have two adorable dogs and a wonderful daughter who is just as obsessed with Disney as I am! I really enjoy cooking, watching movies, playing volleyball, and spending lots of time with my family! I am stoked for another year here at Woodrow Wilson Academy!

I grew up in the Boston area and moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado where I earned my B.S. in Biology. After graduation, I had an opportunity to work as a T.A. with undergrads and it was then that I discovered my love of teaching. Returning to university, I earned my Secondary Teaching License in Mathematics and Science. I was lucky to spend nine years in Denver Public Schools teaching middle school math and science before I left teaching to raise my small children.
I am happily married to Jeremy and mom, referee, chauffeur, therapist, nutritionist, and all time biggest fan to Jack (10th grade), Parker and Logan (8th grade), and Margot (4th grade). I am an avid runner, love chocolate, cooking, and coffee. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with your student.
