Empowering Wildcat Leaders
Empowerment has been defined as a multi-dimensional social process that helps people gain control over their lives. At WWA, this starts in the classroom, but extends to students’ personal and social actions. From our challenging curriculum to our innovative bully prevention program, from our disciplinary policies to our exciting extra-curricular activities, we give students opportunities to create their own successes and learn from their own mistakes.
Of course, we do all of this under a very watchful eyes. At WWA, we know that the academic and social foundations of middle school can make or break a student’s success in high school and college. That’s why smaller class sizes, positive relationships, and electives that allow students to pursue their unique interests are so important at the Middle School level. With six full-time teachers, three supporting staff members, and five electives teachers serving grade levels of no more than 56 students, WWA is equipped to provide critical individual attention that leads to improved confidence and success as students prepare for their futures.
