Bright Futures for WWA Middle Schoolers
Success in middle school is a delicate balance between capitalizing on students’ strengths and improving on their weaknesses. Through innovative Advanced Learning Plans, pro-active Intervention Learning Services including Reading Group and Math Seminar, WWA has the resources and staff to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
Through its partnerships with area high schools, the WWA administration and faculty have worked to identify and fill any curriculum gaps that may encumber WWA students as they move into non-Core Knowledge high school programs. In fact, WWA Middle School students generally enter high school with an above average base of academic performance.
At WWA, we encourage students to start thinking now about their futures beyond high school. WWA 8th graders participate in college visit days to explore programs at places such as UNC and CSU. These valuable learning experiences help students understand the important role their education plays in achieving their long-term goals and dreams.
Pride in our Middle School goes beyond the confines of our facility. We actively pursue opportunities for our students to participate in competitions that allow them to showcase their skills and talents to the community. The WWA Middle School has been recognized with awards in the Jeffco Writing Challenge, Future Cities Competition, Robotics League, Debate, Colorado Math League Contest, and Fine Arts Competition.
