Congratulations Woodrow!

Dear Woodrow Families,

I am proud to announce that Woodrow Wilson Academy has earned the John Irwin School of Excellence. Award for our academic accomplishments in the

2024-2025 school year. This honor is given to schools that demonstrate exceptional, long-term academic achievement. Specifically, it recognizes schools that exceed expectations in math, English language arts, and science. (As a reminder, WWA achieved the highest performance ratings among all charter schools in our district last year!).

A lot goes into building a successful school: high expectations, strong instructional leadership, a safe environment, a focus on foundational skills, and frequent progress monitoring. But above all else, success requires highly skilled teachers who care deeply for their students. We have accomplished so much over the past two years. I cannot thank our staff, our students, and you—our families—enough for working together to make this happen.

Most importantly, we have achieved this while remaining a close, caring community. Knowing our kids by name, strength, and need is the foundation of Woodrow’s success, and it is deeply embedded in our mission and vision.

None of this would be possible without our exceptional staff. To that end, I am thrilled to share that 100% of our classroom teachers are returning next year. We have incredible momentum, and we are just getting started.

Congratulations to the WWA team and community for building one of the top schools in Colorado. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish next.
