Mrs. Fingland

My name is Katie Fingland and I have been teaching art at Woodrow since 2007. I'm originally from St. Louis, graduating with my B.S. in Art Education K-12, and my Masters of Arts in Teaching before my husband and I moved to Vail, Colorado in 2006. We have a daughter and son and live in the Green Mountain area where we enjoy spending time outside hiking with our dog and biking, and watching our kids play soccer, basketball, volleyball, and more. I love traveling with my family, and finding new places to explore and activities to do that are specific to that locale and culture. I enjoy creating my own art--especially with watercolor pencils. My favorite part of teaching art is seeing the students make something they are proud of, and for them to try something new. Being an art teacher is such a fun job, and the staff and students at WWA make it a special place to work!

I am always looking for volunteers!

The library can’t run smoothly without help from wonderful parents! Volunteers help shelve books, assist students with check out, locate books for students, and help with the class activity.
