The Power of Our School Family
I am writing this with a heart full of gratitude and a deep appreciation for the incredible families and students who make up our school family.
When my e-bike was stolen, I wasn't just losing a bicycle. For me, that bike was my daily (mostly - other than a couple of flats) reliable connection to our community—my morning peaceful ride in and a simple joy that brought energy to my daily routine. To have it suddenly gone was disheartening and stressful. However, the support of our staff and students along with response to the GoFundMe turned a deeply frustrating experience into a powerful reminder of how much love, compassion, and togetherness exist right here.
Because of your kindness, I took action in getting back on new wheels. Three days later, I found my exact model bike in new condition for sale. My previous bike had almost 7k miles and it was a goal of mine to hit 10k+ miles. Knowing it is a durable and reliable bike, I had to get the same one to keep that goal alive. The remaining funds from the GFM will go to our school support funds for families and students.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing up for me and proving what an extraordinary, caring community we share. I am beyond grateful for every single one of you.
With deep appreciation,
