Celebrating Our School Spelling Bee Champions šŸ

Our school hosted an exciting and inspiring School Spelling Bee, and we couldn’t be more proud of all the students who participated!

The journey to the schoolwide bee began in every 4th–8th grade classroom, where students competed in grade-level qualifiers. From each grade, the top four spellers advanced to the school competition—bringing together 20 outstanding students who showcased dedication, focus, and an impressive command of language.

At the school-level bee, participants were randomly assigned numbers 1–20 and spelled in that order through multiple rounds. The rules were simple but challenging:

  • Spell the word correctly to advance

  • Misspell a word and be eliminated

Round by round, students demonstrated confidence, perseverance, and academic excellence as the competition narrowed.

We would like to extend a huge congratulations to all 20 participants who earned a spot in the School Spelling Bee. Advancing to this level is a significant accomplishment and reflects weeks of preparation and hard work.

After several intense rounds, our top spellers emerged:

  • First Place: Carmen Moore

  • Second Place (Runner-Up): Abrianna Marquess

  • Third Place: Sophie Nguyen

The winning word that secured first place was CLEMENTINE—an impressive finish to a fantastic competition!

Congratulations to Carmen Moore and Abrianna Marquess, who will represent our school at the Regional Charter Spelling Bee. The regional competition will be held on Tuesday, February 10th, at Excel Academy, beginning at 4:30 PM.

We are incredibly proud of all our spellers and grateful to our teachers and staff for supporting students throughout this academic tradition. The Spelling Bee continues to highlight our students’ dedication to learning and their courage to take on a challenge—one word at a time!
